The trail that loops around the lake is about 1.6 miles around and it took us around 30 – 40 minutes to walk it at a pretty leisurely speed. The girls where slow pokes that day, it was killin’ me.
During the walk you’ll see a lake (no shit), wet lands, LOTS of birds of all shapes and sizes, trees, fields, lovely mountain views, as a whole it’s not too shabby. The pictures on alltrails (which if you don’t have that app by the by you probably should) taken during the summer looked quiet lovely with green grass, wild flowers and what have you. I’ll definitely be back when the flowers start a’ bloomin’.
The walk was easy peasy, everything was flat which made for smooth sailing. The dogs seemed happy enough just being out in the fresh air so that works for me.
Basically how I found this walk is I wanted to squeeze a walk in for the gals before work but couldn’t do anything too lengthy (or exhausting for that matter since I work on my feet). I found this walk on Alltrails (again, you need to download that pronto) and it seemed like exactly what I needed and sure enough it did the trick.
So that’s exactly what I would recommend this trail for, not necessarily a big exciting adventure but a good walk to bring your furry friends to when you’re pressured for time but still want something a little more interesting than a paved trail.
