I chose this witty title because my favorite season is just around the corner and it felt like a good time to catch up with what’s new and with what to expect from me this fall.
First up on the list, a catch up. It’s now been about five months since Adventures With Rover was first published and I’m happy to report in those five months our daily site visitors are slowly but surely creepin’ their way up.
Aaaannnd we just made postcard-sized advertisements to start leaving anywhere people will let me. We pretty legit now guys. Don’t worry about it. So keep your eyes peeled for these babies around.
So maybe you’re related to me and you think my site is shit but you feel too bad to tell me to my face. Well, here’s your chance. Buuut regardless who you are, if you’re going to tell me it’s shit at least tell me how to make it not shit. Don’t just tell me I suck and then drop the mic.
But really my friends, you don’t know how helpful it would be. Tell me what you love, what you hate, maybe you have a brilliant idea, anything. I am all about growth but I can’t grow if I don’t know where to water. Don’t hate on my super awesome metaphor I just snuck in there.
This next tidbit sort of falls between both the, “what’s new” and the, “what to expect this fall” topics of this post. And that would be that things have been, and will continue to be bust till at least November.
If you are a newsletter subscriber then you know we already briefly wen over this so it may be a tad redundant for you. If you’re not a subscriber then you should probably just get your life together.
Ironically since this is the year I had hoped to slow down dog sitting and focus on the site, I’ve had booking after booking all summer going all the way to November. Don’t fret, I don’t intend on letting this impact my weekly posts but I am a blogger of communication so I wanted to give you a heads up. If it’s going to impact anything, it’ll be social media… in fact it already has a bit. Apologies. Same as the site weekly posts won’t be a problem but it may be a struggle to accomplish more than that but I plan to do my very best!
The only time there will be no posts of any kind will be the two weeks of September 14-25 as I will be on vacation. Now for our final topic, what to expect for fall.
Fall is my absolute favorite season. It’s not too hot, not too cold, sweaters, changing leaves which make for beautiful hikes, Halloween, crisp air, just can’t lose if it’s fall.
Las fall I tragically broke my foot right as the leaves were changing and as a result I couldn’t participate in all my favorite fall things and I just wasn’t in the spirit. So that means this year I’m going all out. We’re talking changing leaves hikes, walks and adventures, pumpkin flavored everything, yes that includes pumpkin dog treat recipes, doggy Halloween events, and of course, doggy Halloween costumes that may or may not have matching people costumes. So stay tuned friends!
